UNIQUE CREEK HOMESTEAD SEEDS: All of our seeds are grown right here on our Unique Creek Homestead and not sourced from elsewhere. All seeds are collected each growing season and are 1-year old or less, stored in air-tight Mason jars. Seeds are harvested and labeled for storage each season, one plant/seed type at a time so seeds do not get mixed by accident during the process! The seeds we use at the start of each growing season come from the exact same seeds we sell.

ABOUT THESE SEEDS: Miniature Chocolate Bell peppers are a sweet, compact variety of bell pepper that are great for cooking and eating fresh.
Here are some things to know about them:
Size: These peppers are small, usually 1–2 inches in diameter, and have thick walls.
Color: They start out green and change to a shiny chocolate color when they are ripe.
Flavor: They are sweet and have a big flavor.
Uses: They can be eaten fresh, added to salads, stuffed, or used in stir fry, omelets, and kebabs.
Nutrition: They are high in vitamins A and C and contain antioxidants. They are also low in sodium and contain no saturated fat or cholesterol.
Growing: They can grow in small spaces and are good for home gardeners. They germinate best in warm soil, so you can use gentle bottom heat until seedlings emerge.
Harvesting: You can harvest them when they reach their full size, but you should pick them before they become soft or overly mature

Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
