UNIQUE CREEK HOMESTEAD SEEDS: All of our seeds are grown right here on our Unique Creek Homestead and not sourced from elsewhere. All seeds are collected each growing season and are 1-year old or less, stored in air-tight Mason jars. Seeds are harvested and labeled for storage each season, one plant/seed type at a time so seeds do not get mixed by accident during the process! The seeds we use at the start of each growing season come from the exact same seeds we sell.

ABOUT THESE SEEDS: The Hangjiao 5 Helix Nubula, also known as the Chinese Space Chilli, is a variety of chili pepper with a sweet and mild flavor.
Here are some details about this pepper:
Appearance: The pods can be straight or curly and can grow up to 20 cm long and 4 cm wide.
Flavor: The pepper has a sweet capsicum and apple flavor.Uses: The pepper can be used in salads, salsa, or as a snack.
Growth: The plant can grow to about 60-70 cm in a pot.
Origin: The Hangjiao 5 Helix Nubula is a C. Annuum variety of chili.
The Helix Nebula is also the name of a planetary nebula in the Aquarius constellation. It's located just below the main star pattern of the constellation. 
 
The Helix Nebula chili pepper, also known as the Hangjiao 5 Helix Nubula, has a Scoville rating of around 5,000 to 9,999 SHU. This makes it suitable for a range of taste preferences, without being too overpowering.

Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
